He said that the irrelevant strategies of the State government in tackling Covid-19 pandemic have created panic among people
Suryapet: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president and Nalgonda MP N Uttam Kumar Reddy on Saturday urged the State government to take a policy decision to provide free ambulance, oxygen and treatment for Covid-19 patients of belonging to the families that are Below Poverty Line (BPL).
Speaking at a media conference held in his camp office at Huzurnagar, Reddy said that the irrelevant strategies of the State government in tackling Covid-19 pandemic have created panic among people. He alleged that the bulletins, which would be released by the State government, on Covid cases, deaths and Covid vaccination were misguiding the people. The State government should extend free ambulance and treatment facility for coronavirus to all the BPL families in the State. He reminded that there were 80 lakh BPL families in the State.
Reddy said that he would approach the High Court on the failure of the State government in controlling Covid-19. It was unfortunate that the State government had no control over the private hospitals. He pointed out that private hospitals were charging Rs 50,000 for oxygen facility and Rs 1 lakh for ventilators.
