Vaccination drive for cinema workers flagged off

Megastar Chiranjeevi flagged off a vaccination drive here in the city, which is intended to inoculate all cinema workers in Telugu film industry.
Chiranjeevi said all the workers from the 24 crafts, the Telugu Film Industry Employees Federation and the Movie Artist Association (MAA) along with film journalists would be inoculated under the Corona Crisis Charity. “It is being organised by Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust in association with Apollo 24|7.
The drive began three weeks ago but due to shortage of vaccine shots we had to postpone it. Thousands of industry workers have registered for the vaccine and we are trying to to inoculate as many as 500 cine workers every day here.”
He further recalled how industry people like Tammareddy, N Shankar, Meher Ramesh, K L Damodar Prasad, C Kalyan, Benerjee, Suresh have contributed their bit to Corona Crisis Charity to help thousands of cinema workers residing in the city. “We provided the film workers with necessary essentials during the first lockdown. And every rupee that was contributed to the CCC will be used for the welfare of cinema workers,” he added.
Among those present during the vaccination drive were Tammareddy Bharadwaj, Telugu Film Director’s Union President N Shankar, Telugu Film Workers’ Federation Anil Kumar Vallabaneni among others.
