Hyderabad: A valediction programme was held for the 224 outgoing Reserve Police Constables in Cyberabad here on Monday.

The 2020 batch officers, both men and women, underwent special training for over a month in investigation skills to work as Investigation Assistants (station writers) in police stations.


Addressing the trainees, Cyberabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar said they would be attached to police stations and that in matter of crimes, their role as investigation assistants would be crucial.

“They were chosen and specially trained in all aspects of investigation, of different crimes, collection of evidence, and recording of scene of crime and remand reports and charge sheets,” Sajjanar said, adding that they should assist investigation officers and improve the quality of investigation to get more convictions in cases after they take up charge in their postings.

DCP (Traffic) S M Vijay Kumar also spoke.
