Hyderabad: Elaborate security measures are being made by the police to prevent any form of trouble in the city on occasion of Valentine’s Day on Monday.
Police pickets are being posted at public places including parks, malls, shopping complexes, multiplexes and other recreational hubs to prevent any trouble by certain groups who are against the practice of celebrating Valentine’s Day.
The police officials especially at the Necklace road will be conducting patrolling and keep a watch on the movement of people on the stretch. Policemen in mufti will also be on the field to identify and nab trouble mongers.
The Bajrang Dal on Saturday had staged a demonstration in the city against the practice of celebrating Valentine’s Day and had demanded the people not imitate the western culture.
A couple of years ago, a group opposing the celebrations ransacked a mall at Gachibowli and cases were booked against them by the police.
