Vasavi College hosts AGENTX 2026, 24-hour multi-agent AI hackathon
AGENTX 2026, a 24-hour national-level hackathon at Vasavi College of Engineering, brought together 40 teams to develop multi-agent AI solutions for campus needs. Team Kaal Netra emerged as the winner and received a first prize of Rs 25,000.

Hyderabad: Students from multiple colleges came together at Vasavi College of Engineering for AGENTX 2026, a 24-hour national-level hackathon focused on multi-agent artificial intelligence and its applications in campus environments.
Organised by the HackerRank Campus Crew at Vasavi College of Engineering, the hackathon brought together 40 teams, with two to four members in each team. The event was conducted under the coordination of K Lohitha Reddy and V Krishna Mohan, Faculty Coordinators.
The participants were challenged to develop a Smart Campus Multi-Agent AI System capable of addressing complex campus-related requirements through collaboration between multiple specialised AI agents. The problem statement encouraged teams to move beyond conventional chatbots and demonstrate capabilities including autonomous planning, multi-agent collaboration, retrieval-augmented generation, tool calling, memory and workflow orchestration.
Students from diverse disciplines, including Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Cyber Security and other engineering streams, participated in the hackathon.
Team Kaal Netra emerged as the overall winner of AGENTX 2026 and received the first prize of Rs 25,000.
