Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar reviewed the polling process for the Jubilee Hills by-election from the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) in Banjara Hills on Tuesday.
Using drone technology, he monitored the situation at polling stations in real time. Notably, this was the first election in the country where drone technology was used to supervise the voting process, with 150 drone cameras operating under the directions of the Election Commission of India.
Speaking about the voting process, Sajjanar said polling across the constituency was progressing peacefully. He assured that tight security arrangements were in place to ensure voters exercised their franchise in a free and fair atmosphere.
The Commissioner said around 900 surveillance cameras were being used for real-time monitoring from the ICCC.
He further appealed to the citizens of Jubilee Hills to come forward and vote freely and responsibly.
