Several local religious organisations set up stages to welcome the procession. Some local youth volunteers served food, snacks and water to the participants. Children dressed as freedom fighters and religious figures joined the procession. Food camps were also organised at several places for the convenience of the devotees by local groups.

A big procession from Karmanghat Hanuman temple was taken out, and it joined the main procession at Andhra Bank, Sultan Bazaar, during the day. The procession reached Sultan Bazaar after traversing through IS Sadan, Madannapet, Santoshnagar, Chanchalguda, Malakpet, Chaderghat and Koti.

Hyderabad Commissioner of Police, VC Sajjanar, along with other officials of the city police, reviewed the procession at Gowliguda. He later monitored the procession from the Commissioner’s Office Old Building at Basheerbagh.

The police had deployed around 3000 personnel drawn from various wings of the city police for security arrangements. The police also monitored the procession from the Command and Control Centre at Banjara Hills.

Elsewhere across the city, several small processions were taken out by local groups. The processions mainly moved around in the localities and culminated at local temples.
