Rajanna-Sircilla: A bull belonging to Rajarajeshwaraswamy temple in Vemulawada, that strayed into the top floor of the Executive Officer’s (EO) office building, fell off from the top on Wednesday morning. It escaped without any injuries as the animal landed on pandals arranged on the temple premises for devotees.
On coming to know about the incident, temple security staff rushed to the spot and rescued the bull, the temple authorities are clueless as to how the bull climbed to the top of the EO office building since the staircase to reach the top floor was inside the office. They believe that the bull might have gained into the EO office.
‘Kode mokku’ is a popular ritual at the temple in which devotees tie an ox at the shrine as an offering to the presiding deity appealing Him to protect their families from adverseries. to the presiding deity is a popular ritual in Vemulawada. The temple authorities are maintaining a cow shed to house the offerings by pilgrims.
