Hyderabad: K Venkata Rao, IDAS, has assumed the charge of newly-created Integrated Financial Advisor (IFA) Hyderabad/Secunderabad.
The IFA would be mandated to provide financial advice to the Units/Formations of Indian Army, Indian Air Force and other establishments located at Hyderabad/Secunderabad.
Venkata Rao, a senior officer equivalent to Joint Secretary/Major General, of 1994 Indian Defence Accounts Service (IDAS) batch, has vast experience in the fields of accounting, budgeting, internal audit, and particularly in the field of financial advice system of the defence services.
Previously, Venkata Rao has served in the Defence Accounts Department in various capacities as Controller of Defence Accounts, Integrated Financial Adviser (R&D) Hyderabad and Controller of Finance & Accounts (Fys), Medak, etc. He has also served as Assistant Director General in UIDAI, Bengaluru.
