Venkatesh drops big film announcements at NATS

Hyderabad: Actor Venkatesh Daggubati has delighted his fans with a string of big announcements, promising an action-packed slate of films for the next year. After scoring a massive hit with Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, the actor took a short break but is now back in full swing with multiple projects lined up.
Speaking at the 8th America Telugu Sambaralu hosted by the North American Telugu Society (NATS), Venkatesh confirmed a multi-starrer with his longtime friend and actor Nandamuri Balakrishna. This combination has instantly grabbed the attention of Telugu movie lovers, as it brings two big stars together on screen after a long time.
Adding to the excitement, the actor shared that he will appear in a special cameo in the upcoming Chiranjeevi–Anil Ravipudi movie, which is tentatively called Mega 157. He also revealed that he will once again join hands with director Anil Ravipudi for another film, which many fans believe could be a sequel to Sankranthiki Vasthunnam. If true, the sequel is expected to continue the fun vibe that made the original film such a big success.
Another update that thrilled his fans is about Drishyam 3. Venkatesh said the much-awaited sequel is very much on track, with actress Meena returning as the female lead. The Drishyam series has been a fan favourite for its clever storyline, and many are eager to see how the final part will unfold.
In a separate announcement, Venkatesh’s next big collaboration has been made official; he will be teaming up with director Trivikram Srinivas for a fresh project. This film already has an impressive cast. Trisha Krishnan has signed on as the main heroine for the new film, marking her reunion with Venkatesh after several years.
The popular pair was last seen together in Bodyguard in 2012, which was a remake of Salman Khan’s hit film Bodyguard starring Kareena Kapoor. The Telugu version also received a good response from the audience.
Before that, Venkatesh and Trisha were part of two big hits, Aadavari Matalaku Arthale Verule and Namo Venkatesa. Both films were loved by fans and did well at the box office, making this pair one of the most memorable in Telugu cinema.
