Venu Donepudi announces pan-India film ‘Ramam’

Hyderabad: In a grand announcement coinciding with Sri Rama Navami, Chitralayam Studios’ head Venu Donepudi unveiled his latest cinematic venture — a pan-India film titled ‘Ramam’, carrying the powerful tagline ‘The Rise of Akira’.
The film promises to deliver a compelling narrative inspired by the legendary journey of Lord Rama. With a storyline that echoes the eternal battle between dharma and adharma, Ramam aims to present an epic saga that bridges mythology with modern-day values.
At the helm of this ambitious project is debut director Lokamanya, a young and dynamic filmmaker who has previously worked alongside several renowned directors in the Telugu industry. With his fresh perspective and storytelling flair, Lokamanya is expected to bring a unique cinematic voice to the screen.
Producer Venu Donepudi shared his vision, stating, “The name of Sri Rama is not just sacred — it’s a guiding force for humanity. With ‘Ramam’, we aim to present a story that draws from the ideals of Rama Rajya while offering something entirely new to Indian cinema. On Sri Rama Navami, the makers also released the motion poster of Ramam, offering audiences a first glimpse into the film’s intense, mythologically resonant world.
