Support staff of the Hyderabad team, which won the Buchi Babu trophy, were felicitated by former Ranji opener Vijay Mohan Raj.
Hyderabad: In a wonderful gesture, Vijay Mohan Raj, former Ranji opener and member of the 1987 Ranji Trophy-winning team from Hyderabad, felicitated the Hyderabad team, which won the All India Buchi Babu invitation cricket tournament in Chennai recently.
Vijay Mohan Raj, one of the most familiar faces at Gymkhana Ground here over the decades and also the head coach of the Hyderabad Cricket Association Centre of Excellence, also felicitated the support staff of the Hyderabad team, which included former Hyderabad opener D.B. Ravi Teja.
“We are extremely proud of these gentlemen who demonstrated Resilience and skill in beating some of the best teams in the country in tough conditions of Tamil Nadu,” Vijay Mohan Raj said at the event.
“I wish all the players and support staff, coaches and other members of HCAE from which I have retired in May this year,” he said.
Former Hyderabad fast bowler and former selector Jyothi Prasad, former Hyderabad cricketer P. Hari Mohan, and Hyderabad manager Denzil Balm, who were among those present, appreciated the services rendered by Vijay Mohan Raj for the sport.
