Vikarabad court awards first-ever death sentence in 2019 triple-murder case
The Vikarabad District and Sessions Court has awarded the death penalty to G. Praveen Kumar for the 2019 triple murder of his wife Chandini and two children, Ayaan and Christy. This marks the first death sentence in the court’s history.

Hyderabad: In a landmark judgment, the Vikarabad District and Sessions Court on Thursday delivered a sensational verdict in the 2019 triple-murder case, awarding death penalty to the accused G Praveen Kumar for killing his wife and two children.
This is the first time in the history of Vikarabad court that a death sentence has been pronounced.
The gruesome crime took place in August 2019, in Vikarabad Town, where Praveen Kumar, a private employee who suspected the fidelity of his wife Chandini (28), a private school teacher, strangled her to death.
Further, he strangled his son Ayaan to death and bludgeoned his daughter Christy to death with an iron rod in their house. The Vikarabad Police booked a case and arrested Praveen Kumar.
The case progressed rapidly with systematic investigation, evidence collection and timely filing of the chargesheet proved crucial. Following the verdict, family members of the victims and locals expressed satisfaction.
