Villagers lay siege to power substation protesting erratic supply of power in Adilabad
Residents of five villages in Adilabad laid siege to a power substation in Degama village, protesting erratic electricity supply and unscheduled power cuts. Villagers said they faced hardship in daily life and farming activities due to repeated outages.

Adilabad: Residents from multiple villages laid siege to a power substation protesting against erratic supply of electricity at Degama village in Bazarhathnoor mandal early on Monday morning.
Residents of Tembi, Majaram, Darmapur, Anantapur and Chinmiya laid siege to the substation at 3 am. They regretted that they were facing inconvenience due to undeclared outages of power to their villages. They said that they were forced to stay awake all night and were struggling to extract from wells, following erratic supply of electricity.
The agitating villagers further said that the power supply was stopped between 10 pm and 4 am. They claimed that the challenge was not addressed despite submitting representations to officials several times. They stated that they would bring the problem to the notice of Collector Rajarshi Shah soon.
