According to the locals, the DCM fully loaded with animal bones reached the Wambay colony, located on RGI Airport Cargo Road – Mailardevpally road when a group of persons stopped the vehicles and assaulted the drivers. The mob then set fire to the vehicles after dousing them with fuel.

On information, the local police reached the spot and resorted to a lathi charge. A few miscreants pelted stones on the police as well leading to injuries to a few policemen. Two fire tenders from Chandrayangutta and Rajendranagar fire station reached the spot and doused the flames.

Cyberabad Commissioner of Police, Avinash Mohanty who visited the spot late in the night said that the incident happened around 9.30 pm and the local police reached the spot.

“A mob had set ablaze vehicles carrying animal carcasses and assaulted the driver. A FIR is registered and necessary action is being taken by the police,” said Avinash Mohanty, who appealed to the people against taking law into their hands.

The Cyberabad CP in regard to the incident at Attapur said that a group of people had obstructed a vehicle carrying cattle from Bahadurpura towards Rajendranagar road and damaged it. “The driver was beaten up. Before the things could take ugly turn the situation was controlled,” said Avinash Mohanty.

The Hyderabad Police following both the incidents rushed their men to Cyberabad to assist their counterparts in dealing with the trouble.

The police had a tough time dispersing the two groups who had gathered at the NM Guda junction following the trouble. A few policemen were injured when the mob pelted stones on the cops at NM Guda.
