Visakhapatnam: Five persons drowned in the Bay of Bengal in Rama Krishna Beach here on Sunday afternoon.
Four youths and a woman, all tourists from the neighbouring Odisha state, entered the sea for a dip but a huge wave drew them into the deep sea.
Within half an hour, the bodies of the woman and a youth were washed ashore and divers and life guards have begun a seach for the other three persons.
The recovered bodies were sent to the King George Hospital for post mortem.
