VIT Chennai’s technoVIT 2026 draws participants from 14 countries

The two-day technoVIT 2026, VIT Chennai’s flagship international technical festival, saw participation from over 15,000 students and delegates representing 14 countries. The event featured dignitaries from academia, industry and diplomatic circles.

Hyderabad: The two-day technoVIT’26, the flagship students’ international technical festival of Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) Chennai, was attended by more than 15,000 participants from India and 14 countries abroad including Uzbekistan, Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, Japan, France.

Aleksandr Fomin, Deputy Consul General, Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Chennai, Arulselvam Harikrishnan, Vice President – Operations & Logistics, Daimler India Commercial Vehicles, participated.


Dr. G. Viswanathan, Founder & Chancellor, Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) presided over the function and Dr. G.V. Selvam, Vice President, VIT delivered the special address.

Dr. G. Viswanathan, said, science and technology are useful for any society which wants to grow and which wants to develop economically. Dr. G.V. Selvam pointed out that technoVIT is by the students, of the students and for the students.

Dr.T. Thyagarajan, Pro-Vice Chancellor, VIT Chennai, Dr. K. Sathiyanarayanan, Director, VIT Chennai, Dr. P.K. Manoharan, Additional Registrar, VIT Chennai and Dr. M. Jayasudha, Convenor, technoVIT were also present.
