Vizianagaram: Former minister Padala Aruna has resigned from the Telugu Desam Party alleging ill-treatment by the high command.
She recalled that the TDP founder NT Rama Rao had encouraged women in the party which enabled her to serve the people. But now, the TDP was not even recognising her presence which was why she quit the party, she explained.
Already, senior leader in the district Gadde Babu Rao left the party last month and after Aruna’s exit, many more are expected to leave the TDP shortly.
