Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Wallposters, featuring writings against the banned Maoist party pasted on walls created a flutter in both Chintalamanepalli and Bejjur mandals on Saturday.

Wallposters, purportedly written by Telangana Adivasi Yuvajana Sangham were pasted on walls of certain individuals in Karjelli village in Chintalamanepalli mandal and Bejjur mandal centre on Friday night. They found fault with the Maoists for waging war against the aboriginal tribals, citing an explosion of a pressure landmine planted by the extremists at Karregutta forest area in Mulugu district, resulting in grievous injuries to a woman recently.

The wallposters read Maoists are waging an undeclared war against the tribals. Is it your ideology to suck blood of tribals? Is this why you struggle? Doesn’t your blood thirst end? Don’t Maoists mend ways?” the tribal youth body questioned in the writings. Locals expressed concern over the wallposters surfaced in the two villages.

Meanwhile, police made inquiries into pasting of wallposters in the two villages. They were cross checking whether leaders of the body affixed the posters or someone else pasted them to terrorise Maoists. They inspected the field and gathered details of the incident. The posters, however, have become a talk of the town.
