Warangal: District Congress Committee (DCC) president of Warangal and Hanamkonda districts Naini Rajender Reddy on Monday demanded that the State government immediately release notifications for government jobs to provide employment to the educated jobless youth in the State.
Finding fault with the government for not releasing the unemployment allowance as promised by the ruling TRS during poll campaign, he expressed solidarity with members of the ABSF student union who sat on a hunger strike at the Ambedkar Chowrasta demanding immediate job notifications. “Though the TRS promised to provide a government job to each household, the government released notifications to fill jobs on a large scale only in the police department. The TRS said it would provide one lakh jobs after State formation, but it has cheated the unemployed youth,” he said.
Stating that youngsters from the State were still migrating to Gulf countries in search of jobs, he alleged the government had not taken up recruitment of university teachers in the last seven years. “The government is encouraging private universities. It has given permission to five private universities,” Rajender Reddy said, adding that the Congress would take up agitations for release of job notifications.
BSF, Warangal and Hanamkonda districts president Manda Naresh, District Secretary Ranjith, KU ABSF president Raj Kumar and others were present at the programme.
