Warangal: Task Force police along with Rayaparthi police arrested four inter-State ganja smugglers and seized 64 kg of ganja worth Rs 6.40 lakh from them on Sunday. One more accused is absconding.
The arrested have been identified as Santosh Sitaram Kale, Lakshan Sitaram, Rahula Manohar, and Saurabh Sanjay Kale from the Pune district of Maharashtra. The accused at large is Pavitra of Koraput district in Odisha.
Disclosing details of the arrest at a press conference here on Sunday, Warangal Police Commissioner Tarun Joshi said the accused were smuggling the cannabis from Odisha and Andhra Pradesh to Pune to earn easy money.

They were waiting for another bus to go to Maharashtra when the police zeroed in on them.
Additional DCP Vaibhav Gaikwad, Task Force Inspectors Ch Srinivas Ji, R Santosh, Wardhanapet Inspector Sadan Kumar, Task Force Sub-Inspectors Lavan Kumar, Ravali, and other team members were congratulated by CP for nabbing the ganja smugglers.
