Warangal sculptor Ajay Kumar honoured with global certificate of excellence

Warangal micro sculptor Ajay Kumar Mattewada has been awarded the Certificate of Excellence by the Global Book of Excellence for his creative innovation and contribution to micro-sculpture. He will also be featured in its upcoming records edition for his remarkable achievements

Warangal: A renowned micro sculptor from Warangal, Ajay Kumar Mattewada, who earned global acclaim for his stunning micro-sculptures, has been presented with the ‘Certificate of Excellence’ by the England-based Global Book of Excellence (GBE), an organisation that recognises individuals and organisations for their humanitarian contributions and exceptional achievements through awards and record-keeping, similar to Guinness World Records.

Global Book of Excellence India representative Dr Manish Kumar visited Ajay Kumar’s residence in Warangal and presented him with the Certificate of Excellence along with a trophy.

The honour was conferred on him in recognition of his exceptional artistry, precision, creativity and pioneering contribution to the field of micro-sculpture. His unmatched skill, creative innovation and unwavering dedication have elevated the rare art form to global prominence, bringing pride and prestige to India’s cultural heritage, the citation said.

Ajay Kumar will also be featured in the upcoming edition of Global Book of Excellence Records, which documents remarkable feats of individuals. It may be noted that during the recent Vinayaka Chavithi festival, Ajay Kumar created a micro sculpture of Natya Ganapathi on the tip of an eyelash.
