Hyderabad: Ahead of local body elections, Congress leaders are quitting the party and joining the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) due to the failure of the State government in fulfilling the electoral promises made to the people. At Ukal village in Warangal, a few Congress leaders joined the BRS in the presence of former Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao on Friday.

The leaders said that they were unable to face the people’s ire in the villages due to the failure of the Congress government in fulfilling the promises. Despite working in the Congress for many years, the leaders said they had never faced such humiliating and embarrassing situations, according to reports.
