Warangal social activist urges govt to allocate more funds for edu sector

Warangal Urban: Social activist and national youth awardee Mandala Parashuramulu has urged both the State and Central governments to allocate more funds for education sector and research so that the youth can excel in all fields to grow to be number one in the world.
As a part of the Azadi Ka Amrut programme, the Warangal-based Abhyudaya Seva Samithi conducted a rally and held a meeting at Surjeet Nagar locality of New Shyampet here on Saturday. While Prerana Organisation founder P Upender Reddy presided over the event, Mandala Parashuramlu who is the former chairperson of the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) of the erstwhile Warangal district, attended it as the chief guest.
Addressing the meeting, Parashuramulu said that many people had sacrificed their lives for free the nation from the shackles of the British colonial rulers. Stating that India has a total population of 130 crores and it is consisting more of young men and women, who are considered as the wealth of our country, he said that the youth must read the biographies of freedom fighters and eminent personalities of the nation to get inspiration from and build a developed India.
“We need to increase the literacy percentage and also help the young people to get higher-level education. Keeping this in view, both the central and state governments should allocate more funds for education and research so that the youth can excel in all fields to grow to be number one in the world,” he added.
“Everyone must strive to see that our nation would be free from female foeticide, illegal adoption of children, child marriages, and child labour and child begging,” Parashuramulu said. Warangal Urban District ChildLine Nodal Coordinator MD Iqbal Pasha, TV Ashok Kumar, M Rajendhar Reddy, Kondal Rao, Pragya Teja, Archana and others attended the meeting.
