Warangal: Sudden downpour disrupts traffic, inundates low lying areas
Vehicular traffic was disrupted as the flood water was overflowing onto the road near Ambedkar Bhavan at Tirumala Bar Centre and several other localities in the city.
Warangal: Several low lying areas under the Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) limits were inundated following heavy rains in the early hours of Wednesday. Vehicular traffic was disrupted as the flood water was overflowing onto the road near Ambedkar Bhavan at Tirumala Bar Centre and several other localities in the city.

According to officials, Hanamkonda mandal recorded the highest rainfall of 14.67 cm, followed by Hasanparthy mandal with 12.52 cm rainfall and Kamalapur recorded 11.8 cm. Khila Warangal recorded 11.23 cm, while Khazipet mandal received 10.33 cm. Several other parts of erstwhile Warangal district also received light to heavy rainfall on Wednesday.
