Warangal: Task Force police arrested two persons for their alleged involvement in purchase and sale of PDS rice and seized vehicle and 8.5 quintals of rice at Pegadapalli village under the Kakatiya University police station limits on Sunday. The arrested have been identified as Uduthanaboina Raju and Boini Srinu.
“During the interrogation, U Raju confessed that he had purchased PDS rice from surrounding villages and was transporting it to some poultry farms and needy persons at higher prices. The seized the rice along with the accused has been handed over to KUC police for further action,” Inspector, Task Force, Ch Srinivas Ji said in a press note, adding that they had also seized a two-wheeler in the same case.
