Warangal Urban: Responding to the call given by TRS working president and MA&UD Minister KT Rama Rao to serve people during the pandemic, TRS leader and former SAAP director Rajanala Srihari has been extending all possible support to Covid-19 patients, their families, beggars and others for the last two weeks in his personal capacity.
Rajanala Srihari distributed biryani and water bottles to 300 relatives of Covid-19 patients at MGM Hospital recently. In an attempt to instill confidence among the patients, he has been visiting their houses and counselling them besides providing assistance in different forms. When asked about his activities, Srihari said he had met Warangal Police Commissioner Tarun Joshi and handed over 1,000 masks and sanitisers for use by police personnel who were busy in enforcing the lockdown.
“I have been providing aid to Covid patients and their family members. I handed over 50 (25 kg) rice bags to Covid patients from economically weak sections of society in Warangal,” he said, adding that he had been providing food and water to beggars, destitute, labourers and RTC workers since the outbreak of Covid second wave.
“With a view to check the spread of Covid-19, the government imposed the lockdown. But due to the lockdown, the poor are suffering. Keeping this in view, I have been trying to help them in my personal capacity responding to the call given by Rama Rao,” Srihari said, and urged people to cooperate with the government to contain the deadly disease.
