Warangal: The central library of the Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science Warangal (KITSW), celebrated the 54th National Library Week programme on the college campus here on Thursday. A book exhibition has also been conducted with the 1,500 latest new titles.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Prof K Ashoka Reddy urged the students to focus on the maximum utilisation of resources available at the central library. “Spending more time in the library is very important to keep abreast with the latest developments in technological domains. Recently, we have introduced remote access for e-resources for the benefit of the student community to design the live projects during the course work,” he added.
Librarian Dr K Indrasena Reddy said that college management had been providing the latest library facilities like digital library, and subscribing to reputed online national and international journals. “About 84,575 books with 16,115 titles, back volumes and 6,022 e-books and 50,866 online journals through AICTE mandatory journals subscriptions are available at the library,” he said and added that during pandemic situation they had also provided remote access for the benefit of the students and faculty. College teaching and non-teaching staff were also present.
