Clashes between the residents and the Congress leader took place several times in the past. The land was purchased by the beneficiaries from private persons for the construction of the houses.

Biksham who helped to buy the land was claiming ownership of the land that remained vacant after the construction of the double bedroom houses.

The houses were built during the first term of the BRS government, the residents said, complaining that the police instead of taking action against the Congress leader had detained the residents.
