Watch: HYDRAA team rescues man attempting suicide at Durgam Cheruvu

A 25-year-old man attempting to jump into Durgam Cheruvu was rescued by the HYDRAA Disaster Response Force team in Hyderabad on Friday.

Hyderabad: The timely response from the HYDRAA Disaster Response Force (DRF) team helped save an upset man from ending his life by jumping into the Durgam Cheruvu on Friday.

According to the HYDRAA officials, the 25-year-old private employee tried to jump into the lake from the cable-stayed bridge in the evening. The DRF staff, who were clearing a clog in the area, saw him and intervened in time.

When questioned, the young man said that he was upset after a quarrel with his wife and wanted to end his life. He was handed over to the local police, who counselled and then handed him over to his sister.
