Watch: Little boy urging people to wear masks in Dharamshala
With pictures of thousands of people gathering at such tourist venues and not abiding to Covid protocols going viral on social media platforms, it has raised some worry among netizens.
As the Covid-19 restrictions across the country are slowly being lifted, tourism especially in hills have seen a steep rise. With pictures of thousands of people gathering at such tourist venues and not abiding to Covid protocols going viral on social media platforms, it has raised some worry among netizens.
But this video of a little kid who took it on himself to stop tourists roaming in the streets without masks is touching hearts and leaving an imprint in people.
In the video that is going viral, the barefoot boy is seen stopping people without masks with a yellow stick in a crowded alley of Himachal Pradesh’s Dharamshala. He keeps questioning everyone passing through the lane about the absence of their masks.
“Tera mask kahan hain (where is your mask)? Mask, mask,” the boy is heard repeatedly saying, as he lightly taps the tourists with his stick like a PT teacher in school catching hold of a defaulter.
In the minute-long video, a maximum number of people were caught without a mask. While some smirk at the kid, ask him if he is police, and even try to snatch his stick away but none were ashamed of not adhering to the safety protocols. But the boy was determined and kept his work continuing.
The video surfaced on the day the central government cautioned that people roaming in hill stations and markets without following Covid-appropriate behaviour can nullify the gains made in the management against the Covid pandemic so far.
