Watch: Under-construction building collapses in Madhapur, one injured

Hyderabad: Two persons were killed and a few others sustained injuries when a multi-storeyed building under construction collapsed at Anjaiah Nagar in Madhapur on Saturday.
According to local residents, the building was being constructed illegally on a plot measuring barely 50 square yards, close to a nala. The structure, reportedly comprising seven floors, suddenly collapsed and fell onto an adjacent apartment building.
One person sustained injuries in the incident and was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. The collapse also caused damage to the neighbouring building, triggering panic among residents.
On receiving information, the local police, the HYDRAA, fire department and Cyberabad Municipal Corporation teams rushed to the site. The police are searching the site to check if anyone is trapped in the building.
Senior officials reached the spot and supervised the operation.
