Hyderabad: A man from the US ate the “most calorific burger” – a 20,000-calorie burger in a record time of four minutes and 10 seconds. Matt Stonie went to the Heart Attack Grill in Las Vegas to participate in the Octuple Bypass challenge.
The burger which weighed 2.94 kilograms contained 40 slices of bacon, 8.5 patties, 16 slices of cheese, a whole onion, two tomatoes, chilli and buns. The Octuple Bypass Burger costs $24.02 and the 40 bacon slices cost an additional $7.39.
The Quadruple Burger being one of the biggest burgers at the Grill, has also earned a Guinness World Record for being the world’s “most calorific burger”, weighing 1.36 kilograms with nearly 10,000 calories.
Now, a video of Matt relishing the burger in just over four minutes has gone viral on social media. In the clip, Matt, a popular competitive eater, is seen splitting the towering burger into three piles which he ate between sips of water.
As the timer struck four minutes and 10 seconds, the judge announces that Matt has finished the challenge. The record was set on July 26.
The previous record for the challenge was 7 minutes 42 seconds. It was set by competitive eater Miki Sudo who is also an employee at the grill.
Matt is the number four ranked competitive eater in Major League Eating. He won the 2015 Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest. His YouTube channel has 14.6 million subscribers
The Heart Attack Grill is known for its weight scale and sign that reads “Over 350 Pounds Eats Free.”
