A woman voter who returned from Hyderabad to cast her vote in gram panchayat election was shocked to learn that her ballot had already been recorded
Sangareddy: A woman voter, who travelled all the way to Turkapally village in Narayankhed mandal to exercise her franchise, was shocked to find that her vote had already been cast by someone else.
The incident came to light when MD Yasmin, who had migrated to Hyderabad a few days ago in search of livelihood, returned to her native village specifically to vote in the gram panchayat elections.
When Yasmin entered the polling booth, polling staff and polling agents informed her that her vote had already been recorded. The revelation reportedly left her stunned, as she insisted that she had not voted earlier.
Unable to cast her vote, Yasmin returned to Hyderabad without exercising her franchise in the gram panchayat elections.
