Water supply disruption in Hyderabad on January 3–4 due to maintenance
The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board announced an 18-hour water supply shutdown from 10 am on January 3 to 4 am on January 4. Several areas, including Madhapur, KPHB, and Miyapur, will experience low or no water pressure.

Hyderabad: Water supply in several parts of the city will be affected with no water supply or low water pressure, from 10 am on January 3 to 4 am on January 4.
The affected areas include Madhapur, Kondapur, Doyens section, Madhapur, Indian School of Business, Bharath Nagar, Moosapet, Gayathri Nagar and parts of Balanagar, KPHB, and Balaji Nagar. The other areas that face supply disruption include Fathenagar, Gopal Nagar, Hafeezpet, Mayuri Nagar, Miyapur, Pragathi Nagar, Mytas, BHEL, MIG-I&II, Rail Vihar, HCU, and Chandanagar.
The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) in a press release said the 18-hour shutdown was proposed for rectification of heavy leakages on Krishna Phase-III, and also for maintenance works of TS Transco, such as MRT testing of 132KV Peddapur feeder at 132KV SS Kandi and to attend hotline remarks and general maintenance of Peddapur feeder at 132KV SS Kandi.
Due to this shutdown, there will be no water supply and low water pressure in certain areas, the HMWSSB said, requesting consumers to use water conservatively to avoid inconvenience.
