‘We hope you feel what we felt,’ says Dude director Keerthiswaran as first single Oorum Blood releases
Debut director Keerthiswaran released the first single Oorum Blood from Pradeep Ranganathan’s upcoming film Dude. The pan-Indian project, co-starring Mamitha Baiju and Sarath Kumar, will release this Deepavali in five languages.
Chennai: Debutant director Keerthiswaran, who is making his directorial entry with actor Pradeep Ranganathan’s upcoming pan-Indian film Dude, said the project was born from “deep passion and genuine conviction,” expressing hope that audiences will feel the same emotions as his team.
Sharing the link of the film’s first single Oorum Blood on X, he wrote: “My first film. Our first leap of faith. Born from deep passion and genuine conviction. Raw. Real. Rebel. That’s DUDE. We hope you feel what we felt. @SaiAbhyankkar @pradeeponelife @_mamithabaiju @MythriOfficial. This Diwali — #DudeDiwali #OorumBlood.”
The song, which marks Sai Abhyankkar’s official entry as a music director in Tamil cinema, features lyrics and rap portions by Paal Dabba, and vocals by Sai Abhyankkar, Deepthi Suresh, and Bhumi.
Actor Pradeep Ranganathan also welcomed Abhyankkar on his X page, writing: “So here is the first song of The @SaiAbhyankkar in Tamil cinema. Welcoming my brother. #OorumBlood #BoomBoom #Dude.”
Dude features Mamitha Baiju, celebrated for her role in the Malayalam superhit Premalu, as the female lead. Senior actor Sarath Kumar will play a pivotal role.
Pradeep, fresh off the blockbuster success of Dragon, is headlining this Mythri Movie Makers production, which was earlier referred to as PR04. The first-look poster showed him in an intense avatar, his bruised face etched with grit as he held a mangalsutra in his hand.
The film, a bilingual entertainer set for release this Deepavali, will be presented in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. Cinematography is by Niketh Bommi, editing by Barath Vikraman, with costumes by Poornima Ramaswamy.
The cast also includes Rohini Molleti, Hridhu Haroon, and Dravid Selvam. Anil Yerneni serves as the executive producer.
