Karimnagar: District Collector K Shashanka said a fine of Rs 1,000 will be imposed on those who violate the face mask rule. He emphasised the need to wear face masks in the wake of the rise in Covid-19 cases in the district.
Shashanka advised people to avoid functions, meetings, and funeral processions. “If necessary, people must participate in functions by following Covid-19 norms,” he said and advised people to undergo Corona tests if they are suffering from cold, cough, fever, and headache.
People who do not have isolation facilities at their houses could undergo treatment in quarantine centres arranged either in the district headquarters hospital or sports school. He advised people to step out only if it is necessary.
