Hyderabad: In a surprising turn, Vishwambhara—the highly anticipated socio-fantasy film starring Megastar Chiranjeevi—came under fire for its teaser visuals, which fans slammed for poor quality. Now, the reason is out.
Director Malladi Vassishta’s father, Satyanarayana Reddy, who is also producing the film, recently revealed in an interview with TeluguOne that the visuals in the teaser were not the final CGI. Instead, they were AI-generated placeholders.
“They used AI at the last minute to render scenes because the CGI team couldn’t deliver on time,” he admitted. “Those visuals won’t even be in the film.”
Originally set for a Sankranthi release, Vishwambhara was delayed after Ram Charan’s Game Changer claimed the festival slot. Reddy explained that the team miscalculated the time needed for shooting and post-production. “The CGI team said it would take three months, and we told them to take six if needed for good output. But even that didn’t go as planned,” he added.
He revealed that the teaser was rushed only to meet deadlines and now the team has decided to take their time to finish the film properly.
