Widespread heavy rains lash Telangana; Bhadradri Kothagudem tops chart with 128.0 mm

Hyderabad: Telangana continues to remain under the grip of widespread heavy rainfall, all thanks the the low pressure area over Andhra Pradesh, with multiple districts reporting significant precipitation.
Bhadradri Kothagudem has recorded the highest rainfall, with Chandrugonda mandal measuring a staggering 128 mm, according to the rainfall data from Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS).
Several other districts have also been severely affected by the downpour. The eather tracking stations of TSDPS in Mahabubnagar and Vikarabad both registered rainfall in excess of 125 mm.
The rainfall indicates that a large number of areas across the state, including locations in Suryapet, Nagarkurnool, Khammam, and Nalgonda, have received over 100 mm of rainfall. The sustained heavy precipitation across these districts highlights the intensity of the current weather conditions.
There are 22 locations mainly in districts of Bhadradri Kothagudem, Mahabubnagar, Vikarabad, Suryapet, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Khammam and Nalgonda that has received rains ranging from 102.3 mm to 128 mm, TSDPS data indicated.
