Wife donates organs of brain dead man in Hyderabad

TG GENCO employee Gadam Rajaiah met with an accident while he was returning home after his duty. After days of intensive treatment, doctors declared him brain dead

Hyderabad: The family members of a 59-year-old TG GENCO employee (Artesian Grade-IV), Gadam Rajaiah, a resident of Kundaya Pally, Chelpur, Warangal, who was declared as brain dead, have donated his organs to needy patients under State-run Jeevandan organ donation initiative.

On April 7, an unknown two-wheeler hit Gadam Rajaiah while he was returning home after his duty. Anjaiah received serious injuries and was rushed to a hospital. Following days of intensive treatment, the team of attending doctors declared the TG GENCO employees is brain dead.


The victim’s wife, Gadam Radha gave consent to donate his organs. The treating doctors retrieved liver and kidneys (in all three organs) and allocated them to needy patients.
