Nalgonda: CPI(M) State secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram on Sunday said his party would wage an agitation against the anti-people policies pursued by the BJP government at the Centre.
Speaking at a party meeting held in Nalgonda, Veerabhadram said the new farm laws brought in by the Centre would severely impact the interests of farmers and also weaken the Public Distribution System (PDS) at the cost of poor people. The hike in prices of petrol and diesel had also caused an indirect financial burden on every person in the country, he said.
He alleged that every decision of the BJP government at the Centre was like benefiting the corporate sector, which was most objectionable. The TRS government should clarify its stand on the anti-people policies of the Centre, he demanded.
He also urged the State government to implement the Dalit Bandhu scheme in all Assembly constituencies across the State.
CPI(M) State secretariat committee member, Julakanti Ranga Reddy demanded the State government bring all seasonal diseases under the Aarogyasri health scheme. He underscored the need to pay compensation to the farmers for damaged crops and repair the damaged roads due to recent rains.
The party district secretary Mudireddy Sudhakar Reddy and the party district committee members were also present.
