Hyderabad: TPCC president A Revanth Reddy said Congress party would announce two lakh jobs in the first year after coming to power in the next 12 months.

“If required, I will fall at the feet of AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi to announce two lakh jobs,” Revanth Reddy said while addressing at the Congress party’s protest against unemployment at Gandhi Bhavan on Sunday.

Many youngsters fought relentlessly for achieving Telangana but all their efforts were not being recognized by the TRS government, he said, adding “Youth Congress leaders, who work hard for party’s cause only will be given tickets to contest Assembly elections,”

Former Minister Nagam Janardhan Reddy extended his support to the protest, saying there were many vacancies in the educational sector, especially in the universities.

“BJP and TRS parties are enacting dramas and trying to derive political mileage by defaming Congress party. People will not fall into their cheap politics,” said Nagam Janardhan Reddy.

Former Minister G Chinna Reddy said if the TPCC permits, he was prepared to take fast unto death at Gandhi Bhavan to press for employment notifications in the State.
