"TRS is the only party which has the support of all sections of society in the State," the MLA said
Hyderabad: Dismissing reports in some social media websites about his future plans, Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender said he will continue in Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) till his last breath.
“TRS is the only party which has the support of all sections of society in the State. Irrespective of the efforts being made by Congress and BJP, they will not be able to make any mark here,” Nagender told media persons here on Friday.
Launching a scathing attack on the newly appointed TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy, the MLA said he was witnessing comprehensive development in Hyderabad. “I was a Congress Minister once but could not take up development programmes on such a mammoth scale as is being done by the TRS government. I joined the TRS because I was impressed by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s vision and commitment for development of the State,” he said.
“Former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru had proclaimed projects as modern day temples of India. Similarly, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s pet project Kaleshwaram is also a modern day temple,” he said, adding that Opposition parties are welcome to make constructive criticism regarding any programme but merely raising baseless allegations and bad-mouthing the TRS leadership to derive political mileage will not be tolerated.
He sought to know how senior leaders in the State Congress party will work under Revanth Reddy who has been accused of bagging the post through corrupt means. “I faced a lot of humiliation in Congress but I in TRS, I am respected. I never tried for any post or appealed for Cabinet berth,” Nagender said.
He also lodged a complaint with Cyber Crime police against a couple of social media websites for broadcasting false news reports against him.
