Hyderabad: Hyderabad and it’s neighbouring areas shivered as the night temperature dropped again in the early hours of Sunday. Several localities in the city, especially the ones located on the outskirts, recorded single digit minimum temperature.

The city recorded an average minimum temperature of 12 degree Celsius on Sunday, which is at least four degree below normal range.


Serilingampally witnessed the lowest minimum temperature or 8.3 degree Celsius. According to the India Meteorological Department-Hyderabad, the night temperature in the city is likely to drop by two to four degrees on Monday. Dry weather is likely to prevail over most parts of the city, and the maximum temperature will remain around 30 degree Celsius.

Meanwhile, several parts of Telangana are facing severe cold waves, with the night temperature falling below 10 degree Celsius in over 20 districts of Telangana.

On Sunday, Adilabad recorded the lowest minimum temperature in the State of 5.7 degree Celsius. As per the IMD-H forecast, few parts of the Rangareddy districts are likely to witness cold waves for the next two days. According to the data recorded at various Automatic Weather Stations (AWS) by Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS), parts of Khammam are likely to receive light showers, upto 2.5 mm, on Monday and Tuesday.

Rajendranagar – 9.1 degree Celsius
Secunderabad – 10.2 degree Celsius
Hayathnagar – 10.9 degree Celsius
Chandanagar – 11 degree Celsius

STATE

Adilabad – 5.7 degree Celsius
Kumram Bheem Asifabad – 6.3 degree Celsius
Sangareddy – 6.4 degree Celsius
Rangareddy – 6.6 degree Celsius
Nirmal – 6.9 degree Celsius
