Hyderabad: Arrangements have been made for the withdrawal of Rythu Bandhu amount through Post Office Micro ATMs free of cost. The Micro ATM services can be availed by farmers having Aadhaar linked accounts of any bank from their respective village post offices.

The State government released Rs 7,500 crore towards the fifth installment of Rythu Bandhu amount into the bank accounts of farmers recently. The Postal Department has come forward to help beneficiaries in withdrawing cash from their respective bank accounts through Micro ATMs without requiring them to visit bank branch or ATMs for withdrawal of Rythu Bandhu amount.

For using Micro ATM, a farmer can visit the nearest post office with his/her Aadhaar card and mobile phone, linked to any bank account, and withdraw cash by impressing fingerprinter and informing the OTP received on his/her registered mobile number to the postmaster. They can withdraw a maximum amount of Rs 10,000 per day. The farmers can make a service request through Postinfo App or by request through beat postman. Through Micro ATMs, the Postal Department distributed Rs 142 crore during the Kharif season 2021-22 to about 2.23 lakh farmers.
