Woman abandons ailing husband in graveyard in Jagtial after being forced to vacate rented home

An ailing man suffering from kidney failure was allegedly abandoned by his wife in a graveyard in Jagtial after the family was asked to vacate their rented home. Locals rescued him and shifted him to a hospital

Jagtial: A woman allegedly abandoned her husband in a graveyard in Jagtial after they were asked to vacate their rented home. Local people alerted the 108 ambulance service, which shifted him to a hospital.

A resident of Jagtial, Endrikayala Sridhar had migrated to Dubai in search of employment five years ago and returned three months ago after developing kidney problems.


After conducting tests, doctors confirmed that both his kidneys were completely damaged. As the family did not own a house, they were staying in rented accommodation.

When the house owner asked them to vacate, the family left the house. Sridhar’s wife took him to the Chinthakunta graveyard and later, along with the children, went to her maternal home, leaving him there.

Local people who found Sridhar in the graveyard shifted him to a hospital in a 108 ambulance.
