Woman alleges harassment by short film director in Jubilee Hills
A 23-year-old aspiring actor from Kakinada alleged that a short film director cheated and harassed her in Hyderabad under the pretext of offering a web series role. Jubilee Hills police have registered a case and started an investigation.

Hyderabad: A 23-year-old woman was allegedly cheated and harassed by a short film director under the pretext of offering her a role in a web series in Jubilee Hills.
As per information available, the victim had come to the city from Kakinada with aspirations of acting in films and stayed with a friend in Yousufguda while trying her luck in the film industry.
During this time, she met the suspect, Shankar, who introduced himself as a director and promised her a role in a web series. Under the guise of an audition, he allegedly took her in his car and asked her to perform vulgar dialogues and scenes, which he recorded.
He later uploaded the videos on his Facebook account. When the clips reached the victim’s parents, she asked him to delete them, but he allegedly refused and threatened to post them on other social media platforms.
Based on the woman’s complaint, the Jubilee Hills police booked a case and are investigating.
