Khammam: A woman and her son were electrocuted at Billupadu village in Madhira mandal in the district on Friday.

The deceased were identified as Sheikh Saida (25) and his mother Naseemun (40). The incident occurred when the woman was hanging wet clothes on a clothesline in their house and the clothesline came in contact with a live electric wire.


Said, who saw her mother suffer electric shock, rushed to save her and fell down on an earthen water pot. As the water pot broke the electric current spread all over the house floor killing the woman and her son on the spot.

Local SI, Naresh booked a case and launched investigation into the incident.
