Hyderabad: A woman approached the SR Nagar police alleging unidentified persons morphed her photos and shared them on social media platforms with derogatory comments.

The complainant, a resident of Vengalrao Nagar, during a relative’s wedding, met an MLA from Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh. She, along with her husband had clicked selfies with the public representative, police officials said.

The complaint further added, the cybercrooks, who are believed to have downloaded the pictures from social media platforms, reposted them with abusive and derogatory comments on YouTube, Facebook and other platforms. The SR Nagar police are investigating.
