Hyderabad: A woman died on the spot after a truck hit her scooter at Vimanpuri colony in Qutbullapur on Tuesday.

The victim, Vinitha Reddy (30), a private employee from Jeedimetla was on her way towards Qutbullapur when the incident occurred in the afternoon. Police said, when Vinitha reached Vimanpuri colony, the driver of the truck who was driving quite fast, lost control of the steering wheel and hit her scooter. She fell on the road and died.

The Jeedimetla police booked a case of negligence causing death and took up investigation. While the truck involved in the road mishap was seized, efforts are on to identify and nab the absconding driver.
